No, probably not. With a 2 year old and a 4 month old, I don't have a whole lot of extra time for anything... we will see how this goes. I felt like I needed to start this blog for 2 reasons. Most importantly, I need a way to document all the cute things my kids say and do. Every single day my two little guys make Kevin and I laugh and I never want us to forget all these things that make life so much fun! Secondly, I used to really enjoy writing. In fact, writing my senior thesis was one of my favorite parts of college. Does that make me a dork? Yes, probably so. However, after starting the best job I could ever have (stay at home mom) I find that I never write anymore unless you count thank you notes and quick facebook status updates. So....here is my funny kid story for today. =)
If you know Myers, our 4 month old, you know he is a spitting up baby. Seriously, this sweet child spits up ALL the time. It doesn't seem to bother him near as much as it does us. There are times I wonder how he is growing because it seems like he spits up more than he keeps in! (Note: Our pediatrician is not concerned since he is growing perfectly.) So Sunday, Myers was playing on a blanket on the floor while we got ready to go out to dinner. Leaving the house is always a crazy time in our world. Change diapers on 2 babies, make Manning a sippy cup, pack diaper bags, change Myers clothes because he has spit up on them again, change my clothes, argue with Manning about leaving "I want to stay here," load both babies in the car....Oh wait, it is time for me to feed the baby again! As you can see, we don't mean to be late to church every week it just happens. Back to my story, Myers is on the floor and Manning is playing in the room with him. Myers spits up. This is not a surprise to say the least. Manning says, "Mommy, brudder spit up!" I reply from deep within my closet, "Okay, I will clean it up." I was really going to but I guess I wasn't fast enough because 2 minutes later I heard. "Daddy, brudder spit up on the floor." I hear Kevin say, "Okay, buddy. I will get it." Again we are both running around trying to prepare to leave, we were really not ignoring our children. A few minutes later, I hear Manning say, "Okay, I will get a wipe and clean up brudder's mess." Kevin and I walked in to see that Manning had completely cleaned up the mess.
What a sweet little boy we have! He loves his brother so much and we love the two of them!
I know what it's like to have a "spitter-upper" or two. Thankfully, both my boys have pretty much grown out of it! It's so sweet how they already try to take care of each other at such a young age. Can't wait to hear more stories from your family!
